20世纪80年代，一部与本片同名的由刘晓庆主演的电影《神秘的大佛》红遍了大江南北，30年后，四川省考古院的同仁们带着全新的考古技术已经一颗走进大佛背后历史迷雾的心再次来到了大佛脚下，而这一次，他们又会发现一些什么样的故事呢？。Jess and Andrea are hiking in the Scottish Highlands. But their adventure holiday turns sinister when Andrea disappears after a chance encounter with two men at a pub – leaving Jess to search for her friend in a place she doesn’t know and where the locals are less than helpful.
