《大丑》改编于吴克敬同名中篇小说。
故事发生在陕西地区一个叫陈仓的城市，随着时代文化体制改革政策。陈仓市的诸秦腔集团面临整会改制，某剧团全体演职人员也面临着留的抉择和考验。该团的“台柱子”丑角舔大丑和老婆尤选荣也在此抉择之中。
